Gathering up the family and bringing out some board games can create a night of family fun.

Aggravation the Board GameAggravation is a fast paced game where players race to get their marbles around the board from base to their home. If an opponent lands on another player, the other player becomes "aggravated" and must return their marble back to their base. This Parker Brothers game is a variation of Parcheesi. For ages six and up, this family favorite can accommodate 2 to 6 players and is easily understood by younger children. Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader Board GameBased on Fox's Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader series, parents and children are pitted against each other in their test of knowledge of grade school subjects. Topics include English, social studies, math, science, and art. Although the questions are simple enough in the lower grades, the questions can be quite challenging in the fourth and fifth grade categories. This Parker Brothers game is for 2 to 6 players, ages eight and up. Clue Board GameBe the first to solve a murder mystery in Parker Brothers classic game, Clue. Players, ages eight and up, become detectives as they search the mansion looking for clues to find out who committed a murder, with what weapon, and in which room. When someone thinks he's solved the mystery, that person makes an accusation. If correct, that person wins the game. Clue can be played by 2 to 6 players. Cranium Family Edition Board GameParents and kids team up for this fun and wacky game consisting of 16 different activities. Players act, perform stunts, hum tunes, sculpt, and puzzle solve as they race around the board. For players eight years of age and up, this hilarious Hasbro game will keep everyone in stitches. Scene It? The Board GameScene It is a combination board and DVD game. Players answer trivia questions from both cards and on-screen movie and TV clips as they move across the game board. Manufactured by Mattel, some of the current editions geared towards families include Disney 2nd Edition, Disney Channel Edition, and the Harry Potter Edition and can be played by children six years of age and up. Sorry! Board GameThe object of Sorry! is to be the first player to move all four of their pieces from base to home. Along the way, players have the opportunity to knock their opponents' pieces back to their base locations. Players draw cards and follow the directions on them. Besides the original version, other family versions include Spiderman 3 and SpongeBob SquarePants. This 2 to 4 player game is for players six years of age and above has been a family favorite for years. Spending quality family time is important and if it can be spent having fun, even better! Consider putting aside an entire evening for game time. Unplug the phones, bring out some snacks, and enjoy smiles and laughter playing family board games.
